The Barnwell Elementary Media Center's mission is to foster a love of reading in students, cultivate their creativity, and provide opportunities to allow them to discover passions while aligning with Barnwell Elementary School's mission and vision statement.

The Barnwell Media Center is an innovative space in which students are inspired to try new ideas, challenge themselves, and collaborate with other students. It is a welcoming space in which students find passions and talents, explore and research new content, and practice designing their dreams in a flexible and inviting setting.

The Barnwell Media Center will serve as the hub and the heart of the school for active and engaged learning. Our future-ready media center will support student achievement and the curriculum through collaborative, project-based, inquiry-based instruction, individual investigation, and innovative thinking, with a focus on developing literacies for the information age and the 21st century.
